How Can Hernia Be Treated?

Hi. I had a baby 6 months ago and my doctor told me that I have a hernia. I have no pain, but I do have a bulge. I have partial paralysis on my right side so she said that is what probably caused it. She didn t say anything else, but it seems like it s getting bigger. Is there something that I should do, or not do? Am I going to need surgery to remove it?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Hernia is protrusion of abdominal content through abdominal muscles defect.
Surgical repair of the defect is the only treatment available.
So get done surgery (hernioplasty).
You should prevent constipation, excessive coughing, heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
Quit smoking and alcohol if you have these habits.
Don't worry, you will be alright after surgery.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
