How Can Growth Of Intramural Fibroids Be Stopped?

Hi Doc I recently found out I have three intramural fibroids, the largest being 6cm and that my blood count is low. I was not experiencing pain previously but bleeding has increased over my last three periods. How do I stop their growth and what do I do about lowering estrogen since I am reading it is one of the culprits for fibroid growth?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have gone through your site and understand the concerns.
Growth of the intramural fibroid can be decreased by anti-progesterone drugs like Mifepristone. This lowers the estrogen level also.
If the bleeding is not stopped by drugs, then surgical removal of the fibroid is required.
