Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, Dr i am 23 year old TSH is 12.80 and my weight is 37 kg only 152 cm height ,i am suffred from these disease since when i was just 10 yrs old..Dr i just want to know one thing that i would be pregnant or not in my future..and i takes 75mg thyronorm
Your TSH levels are still on the higher side and you need to increase the dose of Thyronorm medicine.
It is absolutely possible to get pregnant in hypothyroid patients but you just have to make sure that you take your Medicine properly and keep your thyroid levels in the normal range.
It is also important to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating right and keeping your weight under control as hypothyroidism may also lead to weight gain which in turn may lead to other problems like PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) and high blood sugar.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nazma Amman
