Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
edema of the lungs ....I am a dialysis patient that recently was hit with a-fib...ever since i have not been able to control my edema factor.( water in the lungs ), it doest build up in usual places like it does on most ..( ankles .feet etc, instead it goes right to my liungs ..which cause sleepless nights do to edema....what if there is any thing can I do ...if my Nephrologist wont run a special fluid only pulling program
Since how long you are on dialysis? Do you have congestive heart failure or any heart-related problem? If you are not on any medication start tablet furosemide daily at night. It will help you in both kidney failure as well as in clearing lung edema. However for that, please consult your treating physician, under which you are doing dialysis. Go for echocardiography also to rule out heart-related problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regard, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
