Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 2 year old has eczema and issues with sensitive skin. But lately he had had several spot on his legs pop up that look like little scabs, but they don t go away. We have a Hyrdocortizone 2% topical cream that we apply to his hot spots and it helps clear up all the dry skin spots but doesn t do anything for these scabby looking spots, which is leading me to believe that they are not connected to his Eczema. Is this something that we should have checked out?
Most probably it will be scab or hyperkeratosis associated with eczema, You can try good quality moisturizers or salicylic acid preparation available over the counter.
