General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Loss of weight usually occurs due to diabetes, celiac disease(autoimmune disease), hyperthyroidism, cancer, RA, poor diet (anaemia) resulting in independent oedema.

While diarrhoea for a long time is indicative of Inflammatory bowel disease( Crohn's disease, colitis), Irritable bowel syndrome, lactose/glucose intolerance.

Visit a PCP, get health check-up done along with all required screening tests to evaluate the developing pathology. CBC, Urinalysis, Imaging tests, etc.

In the meantime take Lomotil, Rabeprazole, Spasmol & some multivitamin supplement. Stay well hydrated & take home made food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
