How Can Crystal Methamphetamine Withdrawal Symptoms Be Reduced?

I did crystal meth for the first time about 10 hours ago. It was stupid and i will never do it again. How can I relieve the comedown symptoms? I haven't slept in awhile and i've been up since 6am yesterday (but smoked from 7pm-7:30 today). What can I expect?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.

Crystal methamphetamine is one of the forms of methamphetamine which is basically a stimulant. Taking this drug can lead to an immediate feeling of rush, a false sense of happiness and strong feeling of confidence, hyperactiveness and increased energy. This can also lead to reduced need for sleep or sleeplessness. After taking this drug once, the effects can last upto 24 hours. Hence symptoms are expected to revert back by that time.

If the symptoms do not subside by that much time, then it is advisable to visit an experienced psychiatrist for assessment and appropriate treatment.

Hope your query is answered.
