How Can Arthritis Of The Hips Be Treated?

Researching information on arthritis of the hip. Just started when you joined in. Did not know that this condition can affect so many other parts of the body. Have previous injuries to feet and having other pain in other parts of my lower back, hip, and down that leg! Anyway, I need to start reading. Having hip X-ray on Thursday and I am hoping that will explain a lot.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1) If you have severe pain you can use Ibuprofen /Diclofenac as and when required.
2) Get your complete blood count done.
3) Check for uric acid level.
4) Check for RA factor.
5) Check for serum calcium.
6) Start calcium supplements.
7) Start physiotherapy exercises.
8) In case of autoimmune disease you can use monoclonal antibody drugs.
