General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You must be having acute anal fissure. This causes spasm of the anal sphincter muscles and pain, more so while passing stools.

In the management of this condition, very important is to keep the stools soft. This can be done by taking good amounts of vegetables, fruits, drinking 2 liters of water per day, and if required any stool softener, which suits you.

To relieve the anal pain, you may apply Lignocaine gel 2% into the anal canal with the applicator, before and after passing stools. This will relieve you of the pain and anal spasm.

If your discomfort persists over a week or so, please consult a general surgeon or a gastroenterologist who can examine you and advise you on any further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ajit Kumar Varma
