How Can Acute Osteoporosis Be Treated?

Hi, my mother aged 65 is having osteoporosis detected since 1 year and now it has become severe and she is taking Vitamin-D and calcium supplements since 1-month now. There is no improvement in her condition. She has taken Vitamin D injection also. Now she cannot walk without walking stick or a walker. Earlier before 1-month she used to walk independently. She is also having parathyroid problem detected since 1-month. Can you please advise which medicine she should take and what kind of food she should consume in vegetarian.
Is there any good doctor in bangalore who can treat her. Please advise.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, i have studied your case with due diligence. If i would have been your treating doctor i would like to have DEXA Scan done, to assess severity of osteoporosis. Depending on report i would prescribe medicines zoledronic acid or teriparatide, along with what you are taking already. Regarding parathyroid problem i need detailed reports of parathyroid harmone level and x ray would also be needed before i can comment on this thing. She should take low fat milk products ( skimmed milk, curd, corn flakes, almond). You should consult orthopaedic surgeon for proper treatment of osteoporosis. For parathyroid related problem you can consult endocrinologist.
Hope you would be satisfied with my answer. If you have any further query you can write again.
