How Can Acute Diarrhea, Rectum Leaking And Anus Cramps Be Treated?
I was constipated on wednesday and took an over thecounter laxative and stool softener. Since then, i cannot control my bowel movement. my rectum is constantly leaking. I have to wear depends to handle the leakeage. Also, my anus cramps up so badly I can bearly stand it.
A few laxatives work by irritation of intestine to cause stools. But at the same time can irritate the intestines so much that diarrhea and cramps can occur which looks to be the case. Do not worry this may wear off with time and may not need any active treatment till the action of the laxative weans off. Take plenty of oral fluids with electrolyte solution to maintain hydration and electrolyte balance. Take symptomatic treatment for cramps such as antispasmodic. Take rest and avoid straining. You may take activated charcoal tablets, bananas and yogurt to restore the bacterial flora.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
