1. A dog bite is a common medical emergency in clinical practice, thus I do follow and recommend the following line of treatment:

i. If the dog is normal & live at the end of 5 days = no worry
ii. If the dog behaves abnormal and dies = Rabies
iii. If Dog is unknown or killed = give full immunization as for rabies.

2. In your case, since immunization status of the dog is not known, I would recommend a full course of immunization, don't take the risk as rabies has no cure, i.e on day 0, 3, 7, 14, 28.

3. Tetanus prophylaxis and the booster dose of rabies [on the 90th day] is also recommended.

PS. changing from xprab to rabipur doesn't cause any harm since immune system doesn't care about it, so don't get confused just complete the immunization schedule.
