I am a heart patient, undergone open heart surgery on 26th Feb, 2016, Now it is diagnosed as I have PCOD and also diabetes which shows 140 fasting sugar. I am also prescribed APCOD OBIS. I am 46 years old. I used to have regular period all these years. Just this time I had after three months and when went for investigation it is diagnosed as PCOD. I am using heart related medicines, like metaprolol, telemesartan, clopedegrel. What is bothering me is that the PCOD problem leads to diabetes and heart problem. This is one thing I want to know how to cope up with the situation what is the apt solution to prevent any further deterioration of my health. Please help me.

Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. Because PCOD can occur independently or secondary to other diseases thus do check with your thyroid profile [under active thyroid], and since PCOS is due to low metabolism (digestive fire) thus drugs given to you will work/function by increasing the Metabolism by acting as deepana, pacahana, ushna, tekshna, sukshma, lekhana drugs and thus reducing the symptoms.

PS. because Ayurveda Herbs acts on the Pathology and not on the symptoms, it will take a long time before you will eventually see the results inside you, one has to remain cool, calm and stress-free.

2. Avoid fatty food, curd, late night work, soybean, milk, mustard oil, cabbage, and take moong dal, tambul, saindhav, tandulodak, coconut water, vegetable soups

3. Remain under regular supervision of Cardiologist [regarding heart issues] and Endocrinologist/Gynecologist [ for diabetes/PCOD management]

PS. because PCOS is a lifestyle disorder and in Ayurveda is associated with Artava dosha and apana vayu dushti thus aavaran har chikitsa is advisable, consult with an Ayurveda gynecologist (Stree evam Prasuti tantra) for further clarificaiton.
