Hello, I am 39 years old. I have been on some type birth control since 16 years of age. I stopped using the Nuva Ring about six months ago. Menstrual cycle was nearly non-existent (spot pink 1 or 2 days a month) until recently. Have a new partner who has an extremely large penis. I started what I thought was a normal menstrual flow about 3 weeks ago. After 7 days, my flow when back to spotting pink. Just when I thought it was going away a heavy flow started and has been heavy for 2 weeks. In between traveling for work I made an appt with my GYN (who is now on vacation). I will keep my appt. but do you have any immediate suggestions or advice for the heavy bleeding . I have no pain and there is occassional clotting. Changing pads about 4 - 5 times per day. I really don t want to start birth control again. I have no children and I am 39...hint hint...Thanks in advance.
