Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

There are many causes for pain and the sensation of pins and needles that you are having.

The most common of these would be either a problem in the spine that is causing pressure on the nerve roots or a thyroid hormone deficiency.

It would be helpful if you could give a few more details about your problem.

1. Your height and weight.
2. Any recent weight gain?
3. Any loss of appetite?
4. Any history of injury to the back
5. Any menstrual irregularities?
6. Is the pain and tingling constant or does it vary with position, effort etc?

You would probably need to have a blood test done to check for blood sugars and thyroid hormone levels (TSH and T4).
An X-ray spine would also be required.

In the meantime take calcium supplements and Vitamin B supplements like becosules one daily and include milk and fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Hope you get well soon.

Regards
