Hit Knee Very Hard, Hurts To Bend Or Straighten. Injured Specifically? Treatment?
i hit my knee very hard while sitting in the passenger side of my friend's car. It hurt intensely for about 2 minutes (8.5-9 out of 10) and it dimmed down a bit. After sitting a while and getting up and walking, it hurt to bend. Its been about 36 hours and it consistently hurts to bend or straighten. The pain is local to the top of the knee. What could i have injured specifically and what should i do to help it heal?
Looking at your details it looks that most probably you have injured one of the soft tissue structure of knee. This can be either a cruciate ligament or collateral ligament. You should not hesitate in consulting a orthopedic surgeon .Depending on clinical examination he may prescribe you a MRI investigation .Till then you should have a knee brace to prevent further damage to your knee. You should have a good analgesic like advil for relief.
Hope this all will help you.
With best wishes.
