Hip Pain, Inability To Bear Weight, Limping. Taken Steroids. Family History Of RA. Suggestions?

I was seen by an ERP yesterday for hip pain, burning, inability to bare weight on the left hip, and limping. I am using a hip spica style ace wrap. I am uncomfortable in any position, even lying down. I have taken steroid tablets, a script from the erp. I do not recall any injury being suffered by the hip. I have a family hx of RA (I'm 29). I have an elevated temp of about 99.6 but am using Tylenol. My labia minora have swelling/puffiness. The erp said its joint pain and gave a referral to ortho for a week from today but I feel that the symptoms are not just caused from joint pain. I run 2 miles per day and stopped when the pain started.

If you have history of RA positive, just single course of steroid would be enough for you, do not take it for longer duration, as it would cause lots of side effects later or sooner, of course it gives much relief, but you can not avoid the side effects later on, better discus it with some good rhumatologist, there are many newer treatment available nowadays, the concern doctor must be familiar with these, Have good Day.
