High Fever, Rashes, Low Platelet Count, High SGPT Levels. Causes And Treatment?

My brother is currently in the hospital for having high fever for about a week, developed rashes all over his body. His platelette count also went down to 140 on the 5th day of his fever and today he was tested for SGPT levels because his eyes looked yellow. Results of the SGPT is high at 700. What is possible cause of his sickness.
