im very frustrated. I was diagnosed with hashimato's 10 years ago. I have been on synthroid the whole time. I am an RN and im very interested in holistic medicine. I have asked dr's to try me on the armour thyroid and no one will do it. So last week i went to integrative medicine and the doctor put me on nature thyroid. I had severe symptoms. I would get dizzy, my blood pressure raised, i felt that i could sleep standing up. I was having hot flashes with sweats. I was emotional. I stopped taking it and then resumed my synthroid. I find weight loss very hard on synthroid. I read that if you have a reaction to the dessicated like i did, i could have adrenal fatigue. I started this new med and they werent even going to check my levels until december. I have been to so many doctors. I feel like all they check is tsh and they don't look at the whole thyroid panel.
