Hi welcome to Health care magic forum.
Thanks for choosing H.C.M.Forum.
Your husband had swelling of the right leg from knee, down to foot. Painfull, shiny , with black patches, tender, swelling comes down in the night, while sleeping, and come back during the day, it is pitting, doctor said it may be cellulitis.
It appears to be the FILARIASIS, a tropical disease caused by micro filariea ,the small worms, of adult worm of wochereria bancrofti, present in the lymph nodes obstructing the flow of the lymph from the leg.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have mid night blood smear for microfilariae, besides other routine tests for confirmation. The drug of choice is diethylcarbamazine citrate, also used for eosinophelia, along with other drugs.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
Best regards.
