Having Shortness Of Breath. Told To Have Tricuspid Reguritation And Pulmonary Hypertension. Had ECHO Test. Findings?

hello i am 43 yrs old and have been having terrible shortness of breath with any activity even showering. my cardiologist say i have tricuspid reguritation and mild pulmomary hypertension. and has recently done another echo. and it showed diastolicfilling patter indicates impaired relaxation. and the right ventricle systolicpressure is 37.98mm.hg. and mild mitral reguritation. my EF is 55% and %fs is 28%. so my question is what excactly does it all mean as far as fixing it and does this really mean i have diastolic heart failure. (my dr is very conservative and isnt saying much right now) thank you so much for reading my question. Im just very frustrated. And it doesnt help that my husband just passed away on the 31st after his 18 month fight with stage 4 colon cancer.

Respected Ma'm
Thanks for writing to us.
1. You have not mentioned the severity of Tricuspid regurgitation. Everything else seem to be OK but you have mild pulmonary artery hypertension and mild decrease in relaxability of heart (diastolic dysfunction). On face of it they are not enough to cause so much symptoms like breathlessness on showering.
2. There are more parameters on ECHO which tell us about diastolic dysfunction like tissue doppler imaging.
3. You have not mentioned you profile like diabetes/ hypertension etc.
Heart failure is a clinical diagnosis; It can not be surely said only on basis of ECHO.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
