Having Severe Fibromyalgia And Cervical Spondylosis. Having Flank Pain That Goes Into Upper Stomach With Bloating. Could It Be IBS?

Hi Dr. My name is Nicki and i have severe fibromyalgia and cervical spondylosis i take alot of meds that i wish i didnt have to bkuz im worried about my liver and kidneys. i have severe flank pain on both sides that go up to the middle of my back and into my upper stomach with bloating to where i look pregnant... should i be worried or could it just be IBS? thank u for ur time in advance...

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).

I will advise to get examined personally by a doctor before saying that it is IBS. The pain you are describing appears to be of renal origin. So you need urine examination and at least ultrasound abdomen to see for kidney and ureter.
