Having Large Bump On Temple After He Hit The Door. Normal

My 4 yr old ran into the door ledge earlier tonight around 6:00 pm and immediately got a large bump on the left temple area. He seemed fine afterwards, maybe a little emotional, but just went to bed at 11:30 as I wanted to keep him up to watch him. Is it ok that he is sleeping now? I always worry about letting my kids sleep after they hit their head hard
