Having Itchy Vagina After Intercourse. Medical Cure For This?

hi I started with thrush like symptoms friday itchy vagina increase in discharge, over the weekend after intercourse with my fiance it got worse an my partner started with a itchy sore penis an its sore when retracting the foreskin. I have taken thr tablet an pessary thrush treatment an the itching an discharge has stopped but im still a little sore an my partner is still sore when retracting his foreskin hes been useing cream since Monday. is this thrush or should I visit my gp?

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Soreness and itchiness of the vagina can be due to number of causes.
Fungal infection is one of the causes of soreness and itchiness.
They symptoms can be caused by trichomonas infection or any other sexually transmitted infection.
An examination of the vaginal discharge should be done to know the etiological agent.
Appropriate treatment can be instituted after result of the investigation.
Your partner should also be examined and treated.
You should be abstain from sexual intercourse till the infection clears.
