Having Fever. Stomach And Head Feels Hot. Given Tyenol. Vomited. Suggestions?
My 18 months old fell while at the playing ground in the afternoon ( around 1:00pm) later around 5:00pm he started running a fever. He's head and stomach area is very hot . Gave him Tylenol around 5:15pm , he ate and was fine . At about 9:30pm he became quiet . Temp 101.8, gave him Tylenol and he threw up all the food he had. Ate like 2hrs ago! He's sleeping now. What should I do

probably it is a case of viral fever
paraceta mol 15mg/kg can be given maximum every 4 hours
tepid sponging frequently to reduce temparature
if no improvement within 2-3 days better consult a pediatrician to investigate and know the cause of fever

there is no need to worry for simple fevers. you have done correct thing by giving tylenol.
next time if fever comes do cold sponging, give one more dose of tylenol, even then if fever not controlled give meftal p 3ml that will control fever.
if fever is not controlled for two days even after these medication go for basic lab investigation like complete blood picture and complete urine examination and you may have to start antibiotics.

sometimes giving medicines can induce vomiting in babies.from next time if you had to give suppose 4 ml of any medicine to a baby thn give 1 ml wait for some time again give 1 ml of it again wait for some time like this give complete medicine.this reduces the chances of vomiting.having temperature itself can cause vomiting in babies.so need not to worry much.keep a check on his general condition whether he is taking feeds properly or not and passing urine or not.if not so thn plz have an expert consultation.

Your child is having fever which is most likely viral in nature and settles in few days.Falling on ground has nothing to do with it.
I suggest you to give paracetamol every 4 to 6 hourly if fever is above 100F.
Do tepid sponging in case fever is above 102F.
For vomiting antiemetic like domperidone can be given .
Give fluids so as to maintain hydration.
In case of persistent vomiting or if fever persist for more than 24 hours get him evaluated by pediatrician for further management.
