Hello,

HbA1c of more than 5.7 % is diagnostic of diabetes.
11 % indicates that it is a very poorly controlled diabetes and needs medical consultation.
I would advice my patient to keep the HbA1c value between 6 to 7 %.
Diet, exercise and medication(insulin) with help to bring it down.
