Having Dry Cough And Breathlessness. Suggested For Asthalin Puff. On Montair. Side Effects?
My daughter is 3 years old, sometimes having dry cough and it increases gradually and will turn to wet cough and breathlessness.One doctor suggested for Asthalin puff every 4 hours, and it hardly worked out.
Another doctor put her on Montair LC Kid for 2 months (5ml daily) and it worked well.
Is there any side effects on giving Montair LC Kid for longer time? Please answer me clearly.

Continue the medication as per the advise and be in regular follow up to monitor for the improvement.
Montair LC kid can be used long term and the side effects are minimal in comparison to the benefits in a given particular indication.

From the treatment and symptoms you mentioned your child seems to be having bronchial asthma.
In bronchial asthma salbutamol puffs (asthalin) is given during a acute attack. Other medications like budesonide, monterleukast etc are given to prevent a attack.
The side effects of these preventors are minimal and they are required to prevent further attacks of bronchial asthma. So it is important you continue them as advised by your doctor.
