Have Sharp Pain In The Wrist With A Red Spot

Hi, I'm concerned I may have carpal tunnel syndrome. I was helping my grandpa move some 40Ib bags of wood pellets for a heater, and a few hours hours afterwards, I tried popping my fingers on my left hand and my wrist hurt real sharply. I've also had this red spot on my left wrist for a day or two, and I think I may have bled under my skin, this was before helping my grandpa, so I'm not sure what caused that.

Hello,
Often carpal tunnel syndrome develops gradually and not in a sudden mechanism as you are assuming.The bleeding/red spot and the sharp pain that you describe might be due to a tendon rupture.
Kindly keep your wrist in a flexed position (your palm is at 90 degrees to the forearm and faces the torso).This relaxes the intra compartmental pressure and also would help in making the torn tendon not to get retracted proximally.Kindly maintain the same posture until a rupture is ruled out by an MRI.
A nerve conduction study would rule out a carpal tunnel syndrome if any.
Take a temporary pain killer eg;Tramadol and pack with ice if pain persists.
