Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The decrease in the fetal movements is a worrisome finding. This can happen due to frequent contractions or a decreased liquor amnii. An ultrasound scan will help in proper diagnosis.

General & Family Physician Dr. Shoaib Khan's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

Yes, the sensation you are feeling is normal, usually during the third trimester of pregnancy(i.e. week 27- to the end).

The lower abdominal pain is most probably due to the infection you are experiencing, which should subside with treatment, but it is also common as I mentioned in women in their third trimester due to the changes taking place in growth and development of the baby, along with weight changes and a uterus preparing for birth.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
