Have Sciatic. Did X-ray, MRI Shows L5 Partially Sacralized. Doing Physical Therapy. On Injections Of Cortisone. Suggestions?

I started having sciatic with my pregnancy back in February 2013. OB/GYN told me that after having the baby the pain should go away. I had my daughter in April (2 1/2 months early) and have been experiencing severe lower back pain that has been radiating down my left leg for the past 2 months. I have had an xray (that didn't show anything) and an MRI (which showed that the L5 is partially sacralized). I have been seeing a chiropractor since the sciatic began, physical therapy, have been on anti-inflammatories, pain medications, injections of cortisone and Novocain, as well as injections of toridol. I am not getting any answers to where the pain is coming from or relief of my pain.

Hello,

Thank you for your question,

You seem to have a sciatica of leg, Mri showed sacralized L5 vertebra,
The kind of pain you have, you might also have some disc compression on your nerve of leg which is also seen on MRI

The disc compression type and degree is very important to know before any treatment is suggested since you have tried all medicines and physiotherapy and cortisone injections.

Check your MRI report again and reply

I hope you get better soon
