Have Routine Cdc. Advised Due To Thickness Of Blood, Heart Attack Was Imminent. Help?

My husband had a routine cdc and the doctor sent him to Oncology/Hematology, where they checked his blood 2x in one day. It was an all day event. The Doctor scared us saying because of the thickness of his blood, a heart attack was imminent. My husbands 51 yrs and ht. 5'11 wt 200....has had hep c since early 80's but no problems. We don't know what to think.

After examination and investigations he will go for treatment if at all required.
