General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

The most common reason of the fresh blood in stool are hemorrhoids. So if you have had colonoscopy and it revealed nothing more than hemorrhoids, this is correct diagnosis. Moreover, if the blood is bright red and on the surface of the stool, this indicates hemorrhoids as well.
Depending of the stage of hemorrhoids it might be hard to treat hemorrhoids without surgery (especially if they are visible outside the rectum). So if your symptoms do not go away you should visit a surgeon and ask about surgery.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
