Have Pulmonary Fibrosis And Mitral Valve Leakage. Had Dull Chest Pain. What Is It?.

I have pulmonary fibrosis and mitral valve leakage (not severe). I have had a dull pain in the center of my chest for several hours now. It feels almost like I need to "scratch" inside my chest. I am 70, female , in good physical shape, and am not on oxygen at this time.

hi welcome to HCM
as you said you have pulmonary fibrosis and MR( mitral valve leakage) and now complainin of dull chest pain it could be of any of the following reasons
1.gastritis- as you doctor might have prescribed some anti inflammatory medication for fibrosis
2.new onset pneumonia
3.cardiac related problem as you r around 70 yrs
i would suggest you to take a PPI ( omeprazole/rabiprazole) if the pain is not subsided i would suggest you to visit your pulmonologist
with warm regards
Dr NSK
