Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 67 yr old female who was diagnosed this past summer with polymyalgia rheumatic. I did not take the prednisone other than the RX used to diagnose me. I originally had pain in my shoulders and hips. I went to PT and learned some exercises and the shoulders are good, the hips better. My problem is at night soon after I lay down on the bed to sleep, my legs pain me. The pain moves around between legs or is in both at the same time. My hip that is touching the mattress may hurt as well. The pain changes where on my legs it seems to come from. It wakes me up if I have managed to get to sleep. If I take Tylenol PM or Advil, it does help me to sleep. What could cause this and what doctor should I see? Jane
