Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
As you mentioned that both knees are having
osteoarthritis and that too from many years .
Now pain is in the left leg from hip to foot , may be due to,
1
Sciatica , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a orthopedic surgeon .
In sciatica usually pain begins from back to lateral side ( somewhat in the back of thigh) and radiate to lateral side of whole leg with pain in little finger of foot .
2 Osteoarthritis of
sacroiliac joint , diagnosis can be confirmed bu C T SCAN of concerned joint and consult an orthopedician .
3 Degenerative disease of hip joint . Diagnosis can be confirmed by
X ray and C T SCAN of lumbo-sacral region.
In my opinion for this pain get help of orthopedic surgeon.
Now pain in left knee , I am sorry to say that you may have develop permanent damage of
cartilage of knee joint due to old lesion of osteoarthritis. Diagnosis can be confirmed by X RAY of this knee joint ( gap between
femur bone &
tibia diminished , so a cracking sound develops in knee).
Only an option surgery .
Good luck. Dr. HET
