Have Numbness And Pain In Fingers, Wrist And Forearm. No Medication Till Now. What Can Be The Problem?

Hi, my name is Cheyenne and I had blood drawn on friday may 3rd, and on sunday a path of severe bruising appeared traveling down my arm as though following my vein paths, that same sunday I began having numbness in my fingers and it has progressively gotten worse. When I touch the tips of my fingers to my thumb I have extreme pain in my wrist and lower forearm. What does all of this mean?

Hello cheyenne,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read complete details of your question.
It looks from your details that most probably you got some injury to one of your nerve supplying to your fingers during withdrawal of blood.Injury to nerve alters the sensation in nerve area which it supplies.

You should keep your affected part in position of rest in pouch arm sling.

You should consult to neurophysician & should have some investigation like NCV/EMG study,so that you may detect any abnormality earliest.

For relief of pain you may a combination of tramaol with paracetamol.

Hope this all will help.

With best wishes.
