What Causes Prolonged Numbness In The Hands While On Effexor?

Hello I am wondering what could be causing prolonged numbness in my hands, sometimes extended along my wrist and arm. Regardless of continuous movement or activities the numbness remains for hours. I am female, 56yrs old, height 5ft 2ins weight 60 kilograms, no blood pressure or diabetic issues. Only medication is 75mg Effexor for long-term assistance with depression

Hello,

The most common cause of numbness of arm could be due to cervical disc lesion protuberance of the disc may compressing the nerve of the arm, and to confirm it imaging study is a must.

If this is turned to be negative then it can be due to stress or fibromyalgia
