Have Non-painful Throbbing/pulsating Vein On Thigh And Knee. Noticed Swelling. Suggest

I have a non-painful throbbing / pulsating in my vien on my inner right thigh just slightly above my knee. Last night the vien was actually swollen / protruding slightly, and I could feel the throbbing / pulsating in the vien with my hand. It started about 2 days ago. I do not have any known medical conditions and just turned 40yrs old; BMI and weight both very good and I work out regularly.

Hi and welcome to HCM.Thank you for your querry.
Well, vein shouldnt pulsate actually.only artery can or there can be rare atriovenous malformation.
But this is probably varicose vein which disent need to be related to obesity . It can be casued by genetics or long standing. ALso your symtoms would be worse after standing. You should do ultrasounds to check the degree of varicose veins and then tehreare various methids for treatment. Wish you good health.
