Have Itching In Ear. Wear Hearing Aid. Had Fungal Infection. Is Vinegar A Viable Treatment?

I had itching in my right ear for about one week,I wear hearing aids & consulted my Audiologist who told me I had a fungal infection & to see my ENT. but to put nothing in my ear & treat it right away. I could not see the ENTfor a week so I consulted my GP. He prescribed Vosol drops ( said they would cover both bacteria & fungal) . I have a follow up & also the apt. with the ENT. . I looked online & saw that distilled white vinegar was one treatment , I see that the drops contain 2 percent acetic acid (also is invinegar, but 5 percent) My guestion : is the vinegar a viable treatment. I have used the presc. drops for about 4 days but do not want to destroy the good bacteria. Thank you Patsy SCott . I will wait until I have seen my doctors, thank you

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for contacting HCM
If you have the fungal infection in the ear, acetic acid(vinegar ) is the better option but before using this it is necessary to clean the ear by the specialist . If it is the recurrent condition then also go for the blood sugar level.
Also avoid water, oil and ear bud in the ear .

Thanks
Wish you good health
