Have Heel Pain. Done X-ray. History Of Gap In Spine. What Should I Do?

Hello doctor, my question is regarding my heel.
Doctor, i am suffering from heel pain from since last 5-6, i even consult one of the orthopedic doctor.
I had a gap in my spine l5, l6 in 2006 but evn now i feel the pain sometime.
So my doctor said the pain in the heel is because of my backache. I even took xray copy of my heel but he said its. What should i do and can any one say why it is happening.

Hi,
From your history it seems that you might be having a condition called Calcaneum spur.
If it is there it might have shown in xray.
As you got some spine disc problem, you might get pain on heel but it is not common.
Many a time local injection of cortisone might help.
Ask your doctor regarding this.
Putting cushion under the heel in shoes might help.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
