Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

It is difficult to come to a definite diagnosis without clinical examination.

However, the likely possibilities could be a brain stroke or cervical disc disease.

In brain stroke, the blood supply to a part of brain reduces, resulting into heaviness, numbness or weakness of arm or leg.

In cervical disc disease, the nerves emerging from the neck region, which travels to arms, gets compressed due to the bulging of discs in the neck region. This can cause pain, tingling, numbness and weakness of the arm.

I suggest you to consult a neurologist for a definite diagnosis.

Wishing you good health,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
