Have Hand Arthritis, Tingling In Left Thumb, Left Arm Pain Above Elbow. Reason?

I have tingling in my left thumb which seems to have gotten worse over the last few days. I also have periodic pain on my left arm above the elbow toward the shoulder. I don t see how it could be carpel tunnel as I am right handed and I do not use my left hand for any repetitive motions. I do have some arthritis in my hands though.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Even though you are right handed the symptoms could still be consistent with carpal tunnel syndrome or possibly nerve entrapment in your cervical spine. A good physical examination should be able to distinguish the two diagnosis.
