Have Gastroparesis. Having Fibre Diet. EGD Shows Food Blockage. How To Clean It?

I have recently been diagnosed with gastroparesis. I have been on a high fiber diet all summer. Upon reviewing the results of the EGD, it appears there is a food remaining in the stomach. The doctor did not say they were bezoars, but, if they are, is there a way to dissolve these to prevent any potential blockage and so that my dietary changes can then maintain my nutritional intake?

Hello,
A patient of gastrparesis is advised to avoid high fat and high fibre diet.
You should take more of semisolid and liquid diet and take small meals six times a day and avoid lying in bed for at least 4-5 hours after the food.
Medical treatment includes prescription of medicines like CISAPRIDE,METOCLORAMIDE,DOMOERIDONE etc.
Small bezoars can pass of their own but large bezoars have to be removed either surgically or through endoscope.
Recently a conservative treatment has been developed which advises person to take 3 cans of COCA COLA three times a day for a month.
It has been proved to be successful in many cases having BEZOARS.
Talk to your doctor regarding this.
If there is no diabetes then consuming coca cola is a good option.
Thanks
