Have Dime-sized Elevated Area On Hand, Painful And Swollen. Done Colonoscopy. Have Bp Cuff Placed On Arm
I had most of my problems typed and then my computer shut down.I had a dime-sized soft elevated area on the top of my left hand near the wrist. 3 days ago I had a colonoscopy which was no problem. However the next morning my left was swollen and very painful. Today it is the same, swollen and painful. (day 2). I had the bp cuff placed on that arm and it periodically compressed during the procedure. Is it possible I had a tear in a vein and that is what it feels like e pain from a (akin to the pain from a "burst vein on a finger only much more painfull. Thanks
Intermittent compression by blood pressure cuff will not cause ruptured of blood vessel. It could be a small hematoma. There is no cause of concern. Analgesic and hot water fomentation will help.
I hope it helped
