Have Constant Foot Pain Along With Numbness And Bruises. Unable To To Diagnose The Problem

I have constant foot pain in both feet. Aching numbness bruised feeling to the point where I have to lean on stuff to walks I have seen many different podiatrists over last 10 years. x-rays etc... I wear prescription orthotics ( for the last 3 1/2 yrs ) Last dr thought it was Mortons Neuromas in both feet but said no way to tell without getting in there to look during a surgery. I then saw a foot specialist / surgeon and he ruled out the neuromas and said he thought it was neuropathy and to see a neurologist. I just had back surgery 3 wks ago due to herniated disc and was told it may help the foot pain as well. It has not. This is becoming unbearable and Im puzzled as to why the specialists all have diff diagnosis. What can I do now?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. 10 years is a long time to suffer. And by this time you would have been tested for all the blood tests / X-rays and all. Your mentioning the medicines you have taken would have helped us a bit. If herniated disc surgery is not helping you this can a be simply be NEUROPATHY pain. I hope you are not a diabetic. I would advise such patients to go for blood levels of Vitamin B6. ask to add supplements of a combination of Methylcobalamin, pyridoxin and may be pregabalin under expert's supervision. Many times amitryptilin or carbamazepine may help, but all these are prescription drugs and need to be taken under medical supervision strictly. I would like to ask few questions... .What is the character of pain- pricking,/ burning , duration ( all the time or sometimes only) ? What are the the aggravating and / or relieving factors ? any relation to raising/ lowering the legs from bed. I hope this answer is helping you and come back to us with more clarification to get your pain diagnosed and guide you to get relieved.
