Have Colon Cancer, Back Pain In Kidney Area, Itching While Urination. On Levofloxacin. Is It A Kidney Or Urinary Infection?
I have a kidney/urinary infection. Blood showing up my urine plus back pain in my right kidney area. Got on Rx for levofloxacin (for the last 3 days) which took care of the blood but still have that itchy feeling when I need to urinate. I am taking folfox chemotherapy for colon cancer at this time. Is there anything else I can do or take?

Thank for asking question to HCM,, You can go for urine culture sensitivity test thisb is the only gold method,, this is not just rule out the possibility of urinary tract infection but find out the causative organism with their drug resistance, sensitivity to drugs. in this way it become easy to treat the UTI or if nothing grows during culture then we can think about something else,, Have nice day.
