Have Chronic Diarrhea Daily, Taking Lomotil, Lost Weight, Feeling Tired. Prescribed Robinul. Can I Increase The Dose?

i have chronic dirahea daily. I am taking lomotil 2 mg ,4 tabs in morning so I can get out of the house to go to work because there are no bathrooms along the way open at the time I go to work for 20 miles of my interstate trip. I have lost 25 pounds. I use to weigh 147 to 150 now 125 lbs. I eat like a pig but doesn't help me gain weight. I am losing my hair and I am tired all the time. I am getting almost house bound and on days I do not work I don't leave the house. I have had my first appointment with a specialist. He gave a me a script for robinul 2mg 1/2 tab morning and 1/2 tab evening. Can I increase this medicine a little bit before my next appointment in October? I am also a very nervous person on the inside and a worry wart. I have had this problem with my bowels for years. I don't want to start wearing diapers or a wig. Can you help me?

Hello,
Thank you for the query.
In my opinion you must be suffering with irritable bowel syndrome and to say it cannot be treated completely but you can avoid the symptoms by using special diet and symptomatic treatment.Even other chronic diseases will have same symptoms.Dont change the dose of the drug without informing your doctor.Try to have FODMAP diet.Thank you.
