We had done TSH once last week the result shows 5.091.
Doctor advised her to take thyroid medicine 12.5 mg.

Hello welcome to health care magic I didn't clearly understand your query.? After using 12.5 mg thyroid medicine you have normal levels of thyroid hormones.. previously your mother has 5.091,,which is also normal..then why your doctor prescribes thyroid tab.? After taking test in the thyrocare, report came as normal..so dont worry about it..Don't take medication.. Regular check up of thyroid assays is necessary.. If you are still worrying about this consult general physician/endocrinologist for further suggestions.. hope you understand my answer thank you Dr.siddartha
