I have osteoarthritis in my hands and wrists but for the last six weeks been getting throbbing pain in lower arm now it right up to my shoulder 24 hrs a day with numbness , this is not the same pain as my hands as it is now constant, my elbow and shoulder are now very uncomfortable when pulling clothes on and off. I have lost weight the last few months but feel ok in my self just don't want to take docs appt if this is just my osteoarthritis getting worse with age. I am 48 and active and otherwise fit.

Hi!

Thank you for posting you query.

Dear madam,

Looking into you problem i would like to ask you about neck pain on movements, any history of vertigo , any restriction of neck movements.

The pain in your hands with numbness seems to be unrelated to osteoarthritis it can be due to cervical spondylosis , but that needs to be evaluated as nothing can be said on the basis of history alone.

I advise you to visit a neurologist to get your health check as numbness in hands is a dangerous condition and needs to be evaluated furthe by a specialist.

Thank you.

If you have any further queries feel free to ask.
