Have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Pain Below Left Ribs. Recommendations?
HI
I have irritable bowel syndrome and this is the worst its ever been. For the past five days I have been have pains right below my left rib cage when I take deep breaths.. Sometime they go away for a short time but eventually they return. For the last day and a half I hve been eating just veggies and water and bananas. Still its better but not really going away. Sometimes when I take a deep breath its not even there then it reappears. Ihave an appointment to see my Doc tomorrow.
It appears as though you could be suffering from an aggravated episode of IBS. In such cases it is advised to initiate anti-spasmodic medication (eg. mebeverine, etc.). Continue with your diet, in order not to irritate the already irritated bowel. Keep your liquids on a high and consult your doctor at the earliest. Our main aim of management should be to suppress the symptoms and push the IBS back into a stage of regression.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
